Ex-Ensemble dev forms Windstorm
New online opus hinted
An ambitious new development studio steps into the limelight this afternoon, Windstorm Studios forged from the ashes of Ensemble, led by developer Dusty Monk.
Ensemble was of course closed by Microsoft last month after completing the release of Halo Wars. Windstorm are plotting an unusual debut title by the sound of things, promising to create a bright, hopeful future vision, unlike the post-apoclayptic gloom that is so popular presently.
"Windstorm Studios is an independent game studio whose mission is to bring a new era to online gaming! Are you tired of online games filled with depressing predictions of post apocalyptic destruction? Are you weary of walking through grey streets beneath grey skies and killing grey zombies? Have you had your fill of dank cellars and dark caves? Well so have we!" booms the studio's introduction on their new website.
"And we’re ready to build a brighter world! A better online game - a game with the promise of of a hopeful future -- cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars!"
We're eager to learn more on all this soon.
