Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks heading to DS

A new Legend of Zelda title is on the way to the DS and DSi handhelds, Satoru Iwata today lifting the lid on Spirit Tracks, a new handheld adventure for Link and co.

According to Iwata-san, the new role-player will boast the same touch controls from Phantom Hourglass; offering an experience that existing Zelda fans will relish, but also accessible to new DS users.

Bizarrely, players will utilise a steam locomotive to travel around the world, switching Phantom and Link to explore the dungeons, while solving puzzles using new items.

According to reports out of GDC, the new title will be with us before the year is out. More as we get it.

    Can't wait for Spirit Tracks to come out, 4 days left for US, 7 days left for Australia, YAY. Definitely can't wait for it.
