Taking a leaf out of Gamestop's book, Wal-Mart are trialing a scheme to buy back old video games, the retailer installing 77 'Video Game Buyback' kiosks at stores.
The stations not only take Wii, Xbox and PlayStation games, but DVDs as well, and 1 USD per-day rentals are being offered, in addition to Wal-Mart taking back older titles from customers.
This is a trial, of course, taking in 77 outlets, but if it's a hit then the kiosks could be rolled out to the giant supermarket chain's 3,656 stores in North America.
Electronics specialists Gamestop have made massive profits from selling pre-owned games, and it seems this success has not gone unnoticed with Wal-Mart.
