PSN getting Metal Gear Solid

New downloadable releases spied on ESRB site

The ESRB seem to be giving the game away once again about some new releases, the US ratings board having approved both Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil: Director's Cut for launches on the PS3 and PSP.

In addition to these PlayStation Network debutants, we hear that Spec Ops: Covert Assault, Spec Ops: Ranger Elite and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six are also on the way to the download platform.

We're not sure whether these latter titles will also be downloadable releases, but it certainly sounds like they should be.

We'll bring you more on this idle gossip as we get it, while we look forward to official announcements at E3.
