Giving PS3 owners the chance to go back to where it all began, Resident Evil Director's Cut will be lumbering onto the US PlayStation Store this Thursday.

This 1997 version of the game featured new camera angles, randomised item placements and a handful of new costumes for both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

Costing 10 USD, you'll naturally be able to play this on your PSP too, as is standard practice for all PSone Classic titles on the PSN Store.

This is the first in a promised deluge of seminal PSone Classics, with rumours that Metal Gear Solid and Rainbow Six will be next up for the PSN treatment.

Hopefully, news should soon follow on release dates for UK and Europe. We'll keep you posted.
