Microsoft have confirmed that Last.fm is on the way to Xbox Live, offering gamers access to millions of songs via a deal that will give Gold users free access.

Generally speaking, Microsoft are also upping the ante through their Netflix service in the US, while in the UK players will be offered live sports such as Test Cricket and Premier League football via Sky.

More over, Microsoft are now offering full Facebook integration over Xbox Live. The service will boast a Live specific interface, offering simple access to the most popular features of the social network. A degree of game integration also looks to be on the cards - as demonstrated via Tiger Woods Golf.

Twitter will be fully integrated into Xbox Live, too, with both services set to land this autumn.

Microsoft have also confirmed today that they are rebranding their Xbox Live video offering as Zune Video - with full 1080p visuals now on the cards.

No download times are promised, with instant access to all HD visuals.
