Technical problems for Fight Night Round 4?

EA forums moot freezing troubles on Xbox 360

Xbox 360 players are this morning reporting a swathe of errors impacting Fight Night Round 4 on the console; the game apparently locking and crashing on the title's loading screen (sometimes).

EA's forums apparently carry several complaints, but it seems there is a kind of fix in place.

It seems as if not all 360 users are experiencing these problems, Kotaku speculating that they may therefore be linked to custom music files or Fight Night Round 4 demo files.

EA technical support seemingly have various solutions for when users get in touch, but some gamers are unhappy, claiming that this problem was also present in the demo version of the new boxing game. We'll keep you posted.

Fight Night Round 4 caused my console (360) to RROD. I have had this console for over 2 and a half years and issues began with my console after I played FNR4. I initially was experiencing freezing of the game, and as of Sunday morning RROD. I have posted to the EA forum, but we have got no response from EA as of yet.

yea i have same problem, it freezes in loading screen. i actually had the same problem with the demo. i never got to play the demo on my own console, had to go to a friend to try it. and he never had any problemsthis is sooo frustrating. Ive stopped buing EA games long time ago but i still buy some EA sports games, think ill stop that too. Ea just keep releasing this crap and just cheat us from our money.

I'm having issues as well, but not with freezing at the main screen or anything like that. I can play it just fine, and have been doing a great job at it. Currently 41(40)-1-0, Hall of Fame, holding three belts, which is why this pisses me off so much. Last match I fought was in December, right before the awards come out, but the second it gets into January, the game freezes. And I've been letting it run, just to see if it was a slow process....nothing.

I noticed that when winamp remote was on (PC) and linked to my xbox, fight night keeps freezing. when turned winamp remote off, it ran just fine.

and the issue with "disc is not readable". a real pain in the ass... but i found a way that helped me in this case with NHL 09 also.... cleareing the memory cache... and this is the way to do it...

    # Go to the Xbox 360 dashboard.
    # Under "My Xbox", scroll all the way to the right [System].
    # Find "Memory", and click it.
    # Where it says "Hard Drive", click the "Y" button.
    # Type in this code: X, X, LB, RB, X, X

A message should then appear asking, "This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices. Do you want to continue?".
    Select "Yes".

with luck, all your EA-crap should work again for couple of days... Peace! =D
