According to PatentArcade, Microsoft are putting off having to pay Peter Hochstein and Jeffrey Tenenbaum, who in 1994 patented the idea and the technology behind games played by people in geographically seperate locations.
Sony have already coughed up in a lawsuit which began back in 2004, and Microsoft are also named in the suit, but have so far put off paying.
Microsoft have submitted a 140,000 page document - presumably in order to delay matters, while also focussing on spelling mistakes made in filings.
Still, with Sony having already settled out of court, it seems that in the end Microsoft may have concede something.
