Remedy say priority is Alan Wake on Xbox 360

PC version may have to wait

Gamers holding out hope of a simultaneous PC and Xbox 360 release for Remedy's long awaited Alan Wake may have to accept it's now unlikely.

Writing on the Alan Wake forum a poster called MarkusRMD (which we'll assume is head of development Markus Maki) said "Unfortunately all I can say at this point is that we're focusing all our efforts on the 360 version and will be making comments in regards to the PC at a later time"

Posting on another threat MarkusRMD went on to play down expectations of a pre-release demo of any kind. "A demo has been discussed a few times but I would deem it unlikely at this point"

"It's a big business and production scheduling decision, demos of games like Alan Wake are not something you can throw together quickly as shorty pointed out above."

"Then there are technical sides like the world structure (one large world) making it a bit challenging to make a small download," he adds. "Again, not impossible but quite a lot of work."

Microsoft have previously announced a spring 2010 release date for the much anticipated Remedy title during it's E3 conference.

I'm mainly a console gamer, but PC gamers seem to be getting the middle finger a lot more these days. Hopefully its released within a year of the Xbox 360 version.
