Ubisoft polishing up Splinter Cell: Conviction
Delayed action title heads for alpha
Earlier this week, we heard word from Ubisoft revealing that Splinter Cell: Conviction has been pushed into 2010, allowing the developers to spend more time making Sam Fisher's return as great as possible.
However, progress is clearly being made on the project, lead designer Steve Masters telling Joystiq that his opus is now heading into the alpha stage of development.
"Right now we're about to hit alpha - literally this week," the designer revealed.
"So that means the levels are largely complete, and now it's just time to polish them up and get them looking really great, and playing really well."
More polish than you can shake a stick at, it would seem. A release in early 2010 is now expected.
