Sam Raimi's new World of Warcraft movie has been named, IMDB calling the film: 'Warcraft: The Rise of the Lich King'.

According to reports the plot of the officially licensed flick could at least in part be based on the Blizzard-backed World of Warcraft novel, Arthas: The Rising of the Lich King, which was published earlier this year.

Apparently, the story of the book focusses on a chap called Arthas Menethil, a noble-born prince who loses touch with reality and becomes the evil Lich King.

The new film will land in 2011.
