'Patch' possible ahead of launch

Critics have been complaining bitterly about the quality of the PS3 version of Sega and PlatinumGames' Bayonetta - load times a particular bone of contention ahead of the title's release.

Apparently, the publisher aren't unaware of the problems, and are considering some kind of 'patch' for the game, in North America at least.

"I can, in fact, speak on their behalf in saying that a patch to correct this issue is under consideration through development to address the matter of the overwhelming load times with Bayonetta," a Sega rep said, following on from a message online stating that Sega was aware of the problems.

"Something I cannot address directly is when this will occur however I will be tracking this directly on all sides (the Japanese, North American, and European versions) as to ensure that we know exactly the status of each one. Provided that I am given full disclosure on this, I will be sure to keep you posted on what to expect."
