Splinter Cell: Conviction is well under way at Ubisoft, and it has been announced that it will feature co-op and a mysterious 'new mode' that has yet to be detailed.

Splinter Cell: Conviction will feature Fisher working as a vigilante, out on his own to save a loved one. How this will include multiplayer is currently unclear. CVG reported that the announcement came from PC Zone magazine, but that no more information will be revealed until it's next issue.

The Splinter Cell series has featured co-op in the past, in the Xbox title, Chaos Theory, players could team up as two agents and had to work together closely to get through each mission. How this will translate in what appears to be a more action driven title will be interesting.

As for the 'new mode', well you'll just have to stay tuned to see what information turns up.
