If you never grow tired of revisiting a childhood at the helm of the speedy blue hero, then Sega has a treat for you. It has been announced that a pack of classic Sonic titles will be released for the Nintendo DS in Spring 2010.

The set is to include Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog II, Sonic the Hedgehog III, Sonic and Knuckles and, according to 1UP, will add a save function to the first two titles. Sean Ratcliffe of Sega had this to say on the subject: "The Sonic Classic Collection will introduce a whole new generation of gamers to this beloved Hedgehog and take them back to his humble beginnings."

The Sonic classics, in some way or another, are almost all already available for the three major home consoles, but this will be their first foray onto the DS. Who knows where they will end up next.

Stay tuned for more updates as they're available.
