cPanel recently raised its software prices for the second year running, which roughly equates to a 200% increase on the amount which Jolt pay for cPanel licenses. As one of their oldest partners, we had a long-standing agreement with preferential pricing – pricing we passed on to you, our customers.
We do not feel that raising prices in the middle of a global pandemic, which threatens many small businesses, is the right thing for a supplier or partner to do. Unfortunately, cPanel, as well as one of our data centre partners, Timico, disagree.
We put customers before profits. We understand the difficulties many UK businesses and business owners are facing as a result of Covid-19. As a result, we are not passing on any of these price increases to our shared and reseller customers in 2021 and have instead decided to absorb these increases.
