{"id":1226,"date":"2026-04-24T11:35:45","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T11:35:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jolt.co.uk\/help\/jcp-trusted-ips-not-working-401-403-or-timeout-errors\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T11:35:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T11:35:45","slug":"jcp-trusted-ips-not-working-401-403-or-timeout-errors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jolt.co.uk\/help\/jcp-trusted-ips-not-working-401-403-or-timeout-errors\/","title":{"rendered":"JCP trusted IPs not working (401\/403 or timeout errors)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you&#8217;ve added an IP address to your site&#8217;s <strong>Trusted IPs <\/strong>but you&#8217;re still having issues with 401 or 403 errors when trying to access your site, here are some things to check first:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are you using Cloudflare? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your domain is using Cloudflare, ensure that the Cloudflare toggle is enabled under <strong>Performance &amp; caching<\/strong> in the site&#8217;s settings \u2013 without this toggle, JCP is unable to determine the visitor&#8217;s IP address and this means the allow list will not work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is your IP address correct?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Verify you have the correct IP address by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/ipv4.icanhazip.com\">ipv4.icanhazip.com<\/a> and ensue it&#8217;s in the <strong>Trusted IPs<\/strong> list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are you using the right allow list? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Trusted IPs <\/strong>section when managing a site in JCP is to bypass website-level security.
