A free SSL certificate ensures your visitors\u2019 data stays safe, builds trust, and keeps Google happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve looked for the old <strong>&#8220;AutoSSL or SSL\/TLS Status&#8221;<\/strong> button recently and noticed it\u2019s missing, don\u2019t worry! cPanel updated its look. Issuing your free SSL is now done directly through the <strong>SSL\/TLS Certificates<\/strong> interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow this quick guide to get your site secured in under two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Navigate to SSL\/TLS Certificates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to your <strong>cPanel<\/strong> dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down to the <strong>Security<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>SSL\/TLS Certificates<\/strong> (instead of the old SSL\/TLS Status icon).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Choose Your Domains<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are on the screen shown below, look for the <strong>Issue a certificate<\/strong> section at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Under <strong>&#8220;Add the domains that you want to secure&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong>, you will see a list of your website domains (like <code>yourdomain.com<\/code>, <code>*.yourdomain.com<\/code>, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Check the boxes<\/strong> next to the specific domains you want to secure.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"banner-tip\">\ud83d\udc49 We recommend selecting all variations of your primary domain to ensure your entire site is fully covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Issue and Install<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once your domains are selected, look for the <strong>Issue<\/strong> or <strong>Install<\/strong> button right below the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click it, and let cPanel do its magic!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The system will automatically generate your free Let&#8217;s Encrypt \/ AutoSSL certificate and apply it to your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verifying Your SSL Certificate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Give it a minute or two to process, then open a new browser window and visit your website. Look for the little <strong>padlock or &#8220;Tune&#8221; icon<\/strong> next to your URL in the address bar.
