Email headers contain detailed routing and authentication information that can help diagnose delivery delays, spam classification, spoofing attempts, and other mail flow problems. They include information such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identify where a message was delayed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Confirm whether the sender\u2019s domain passed SPF\/DKIM\/DMARC checks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Detect forged or suspicious messages<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Understand why a message was flagged as spam<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Trace the path an email took across mail servers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
How to View Full Email Headers <\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n
Roundcube Webmail<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n
Open the email you want to inspect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click More<\/strong> (usually found above the message).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select Show Source<\/strong> or Show Full Headers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A new window will display the raw message, including headers and body.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Copy the header section (everything above the message body) when sending to support.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Microsoft Outlook (Desktop App)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n
Open the email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click File<\/strong> in the top-left corner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select Properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Internet headers<\/strong> box at the bottom contains the full header.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Copy the contents as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Gmail <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n
Open the email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click the three dots<\/strong> next to the Reply button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select Show original<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A new tab opens with full headers and authentication results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Apple Mail (macOS)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n
Open the email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
In the menu bar, select View<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Choose Message > All Headers<\/strong> or Raw Source<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The full header will appear above the message.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Tips for Reading Email Headers<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n
If you want to interpret the headers yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look for \u201cReceived:\u201d<\/strong> lines to trace the message path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
