You may see errors such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Could not open a socket to the SMTP server<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connection timed out<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failed to connect to server: Connection refused (111)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to smtp.example.com:587 (Connection refused)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fsockopen(): unable to connect to smtp.example.com:465 (Connection timed out)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cause<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our latest generation hosting platform has a stricter firewall policy to help protect against email abuse that could impact the platform&#8217;s email reputation &amp; deliverability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outbound SMTP ports such as 465, 587 and 25 are blocked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jolt.co.uk\/support\/\">Contact our technical team<\/a> with your hosting username or the domain that&#8217;s having issues and we&#8217;ll allow you through the server&#8217;s firewall. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Description Your SMTP plugin or app integrates with a third-party SMTP or transactional email service such as Mailgun, SendGrid, Brevo, Mandrill or AWS SES and it can&#8217;t send emails.
