Sometimes you’ll want to allow SSH\/SFTP<\/strong> access to your sites to a colleague or a web developer, but maybe you’re not comfortable with handing over the SSH\/SFTP<\/strong> password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another method for allowing access is to add a public SSH key<\/strong> to the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udca1Note: <\/strong>This guide assumes you know how to use\/generate an SSH key. If you don’t, please refer to guides on how to generate an SSH key first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Login to your www.jolt.co.uk\/kb account<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Login to your account Customer Portal<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on Jolt Control Panel<\/strong> in the top row.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n\n\n

    Open the Site settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. In JCP<\/strong>, you\u2019ll see a list of your Sites<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Find the site you want to manage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click the Settings cog icon<\/strong> beside that site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Add the SSH key<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Navigate to Files<\/strong> using the tabs at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Navigate to the Key management<\/strong> section lower down the page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Add your public SSH key<\/strong> and give it an appropriate name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Click Authorise key<\/strong> which will add and automatically authorise the SSH key<\/strong> on the site for you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        That’s it, you’ve now added an SSH key<\/strong> to a site in your Jolt Control Panel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
