The toggle is already <strong>on<\/strong>\u2014JCP protects your site automatically, blocking malicious bots and improving performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"563\" height=\"291\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.jolt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2026\/01\/image-25.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kb.jolt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2026\/01\/image-25.png 563w, https:\/\/kb.jolt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2026\/01\/image-25-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Allow Friendly Bots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use a service with a bot that JCP doesn&#8217;t recognize, you can whitelist it. Scroll down beneath the toggle to find the exceptions area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select a known crawler from the dropdown list, or enter a custom bot name and click <strong>&#8220;Allow&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JCP will then let that specific bot through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disable If Needed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To turn off bot blocking temporarily (usually for troubleshooting), toggle it <strong>off<\/strong>. We recommend keeping it on for ongoing protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rate Limiting Mode (For Heavy Bot Traffic)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If bots are still hammering your site, scroll down to <strong>&#8220;Rate Limiting Mode&#8221;<\/strong>. This adds a second layer of protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, rate limiting is <strong>disabled<\/strong>.
