Scout allows you to manage the PHP version used by your websites. This is useful when upgrading to newer versions for performance and security, or when specific applications require a particular PHP release. The process is straightforward and can be completed directly from the Jolt Control Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Steps to Install New PHP version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
1. Access Server Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Log in to your Jolt Control Panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
From the left-hand menu, click Servers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select the Settings<\/strong> option for the server hosting your site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
2. Install a New PHP Version<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the Software<\/strong> tab at the top of the server settings page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ll see a list of available PHP versions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Find the version you want to install and click the Install<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Wait for the confirmation message indicating the installation was successful (usually takes about a minute).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
3. Update Site Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Return to the Sites<\/strong> section from the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click the Settings<\/strong> next to the site you want to update.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Go to the PHP<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Note the current PHP version for reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Use the dropdown menu to select the newly installed PHP version.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click Change version<\/strong> to apply the update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Important Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once changed, your site will begin using the new PHP version right away.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Compatibility Check:<\/strong> Test your website thoroughly after switching. Plugins, themes, or custom code may not be compatible with all PHP versions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
