JetBackup keeps automatic backups of each MySQL database on your hosting account. You can restore a database to a previous state, or download a copy of the backup to keep locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26a0\ufe0f WARNING<\/strong>: Restoring a database will completely overwrite<\/strong> the existing database with the same name. Any changes made between the backup date and the time of restore will be lost. Before restoring, consider taking a manual backup of your current database via cPanel’s Backup tool so you can roll back if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessing JetBackup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

cPanel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Log in to cPanel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2.<\/strong> Scroll to the Files<\/strong> section and click JetBackup<\/strong>, or use the search bar at the top of cPanel to find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Log in to Plesk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2.<\/strong> Click on your domain under Websites & Domains<\/strong>, then scroll to the Files & Databases<\/strong> section and click JetBackup 5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restoring a Database<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Step 1.<\/strong> From the JetBackup dashboard, click the Databases<\/strong> icon under “Restore & Download.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2.<\/strong> You’ll see a list of your databases. Click on the database you want to restore. By default, JetBackup will select the most recent backup. If you need an earlier date, click Choose other backup<\/strong> and select the one you want. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3.<\/strong> Click the Restore<\/strong> button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4.<\/strong> On the confirmation screen, click Restore Selected Items<\/strong> to start the restore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5.<\/strong> The restore job will be queued. Click the Queue<\/strong> button on the JetBackup dashboard to monitor progress. The job will show a status of Completed<\/strong> once the database has been restored. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your website or application should pick up the restored database immediately. If you use any caching (object cache, page cache, etc.), you may want to clear it after the restore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downloading a Database Backup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The process is the same as restoring \u2014 select the database and backup date as described above, but click Download<\/strong> instead of Restore<\/strong>. Confirm with Download Selected Items<\/strong>, then check the Queue<\/strong> for progress. Once the job shows Completed<\/strong>, go to the Downloads<\/strong> tab to save the file to your local device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc49 The download will be a compressed .sql.gz<\/code> file that you can import via phpMyAdmin or the mysql<\/code> command line if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monitoring Jobs and Notifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All restore and download operations run as background jobs. You can check their progress at any time by clicking the Queue<\/strong> button on the JetBackup dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
