Where are your data centres and what network do you use?

Jolt operates out of two UK data centres, where we maintain private colocation space. Servers are held at the LDex (iomart) data centre in Northern London and the Timico Midlands data centre in Newark, Nottingham.
Both data centres are Tier3+. They are fully redundant, and both have robust security measures in place to safeguard your data. We own and operate our own network (AS58040), built on a fast Juniper core. Use of our network comes with a 99.99+% network uptime guarantee across all services, including dedicated servers.

Do you offer Managed Dedicated Servers?

Yes, we do.
Every server we sell comes with a basic level of support included. This 'basic' level of support is typically much more comprehensive than most UK server providers. However, for companies and individuals that prefer a hands-off approach, we also offer Fully Managed and VIP Managed Services. With these packages, we adopt a more comprehensive approach to caring for your server and the websites that reside upon it.

What server hardware do you use?

We use real enterprise grade server hardware from Dell and Supermicro only. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t use cheaper, desktop grade components or hardware in any of our servers. We use a range of Intel and AMD CPUs, ECC RAM, enterprise grade Samsung, and Intel SSDs/NVMe drives, and all hardware is backed by a 4 hour replacement guarantee.

Do you offer custom/bespoke Dedicated Servers?

Yes, we do.
We can design and build server farms, server clusters, and private clouds for almost any application. We offer GPU based dedicated servers, high networking (10-40Gbit) dedicated servers, and many more. Please contact sales@jolt.co.uk to discuss your needs. Do you offer the cheapest Dedicated Servers in the UK?

In a word, no. But we do offer the best value dedicated servers in the UK. There are a lot of hosting providers offering cheaper servers than Jolt. However, these providers use low quality hardware and unreliable data centres. In a lot of cases, customer support networks are non-existent, meaning that if you have an issue then there’s nobody you can speak to about it. Jolt’s bare metal servers/dedicated servers blends provide a superior service at excellent value for money.

What guarantees/SLAs do you offer?

We offer a 99.99+% network uptime guarantee. Should we fail to achieve this, you’ll be entitled to a service credit on your account. 99.99+% uptime translates to a total of 4 minutes and 22 seconds downtime on a monthly basis, making Jolt’s network one of the most robust SLAs in the UK server market.
We also offer a 4 hour hardware replacement guarantee. If any component or server fails, we guarantee that we will replace it within 4 hours or less. This has never happened in all of our decades of operation. We therefore offer a guarantee to our clients: should we fail to meet this, we offer a service credit.
