Creating Packages in WHM

As a Reseller, you will be given access to a WHM account which provides various tools for managing the hosting of your clients such as creating new cPanel accounts via WHM > Create a New Account, as well as listing any created accounts via WHM > List Accounts so you can find/access specific accounts all from within WHM.

However, before you can Create a New Account you’ll need to Add a Package, but what is a Package? In WHM/cPanel, a Package essentially refers to a set of limits that can be applied to one or more cPanel accounts, which can be very useful if you want to control what limits are set for each of your cPanel accounts that you create.

For example, it can be used to establish different tiers of service/hosting plans for your clients, like a small hosting plan with only 5 GB of storage space and up to 2 email accounts, or a large business plan with unlimited storage and up to 50 email accounts.

1. Login to your WHM account. The login credentials for this would have been sent to you in an email when you first set up an account with us. If you do not have these credentials, please contact support for further assistance.

2. Using the left hand menu, navigate to Add a Package.

3. Specify a Package name, Disk Quota and Monthly Bandwidth.

4. Click Add at the bottom of the page, to create the Package.

That’s it, you’ve now created a Package that can be used when setting up new cPanel accounts for your clients.
