How to turn auto-renewal on or off for a domain

If you no longer need a domain, it’s important that you turn off auto-renewal to ensure it’s not renewed for a further year.

Once a domain is renewed, it cannot be reversed and we unfortunately cannot issue a refund as we’re not able to recover the cost of the renewal from the registry. Domains are one of the few services that don’t have a flexible billing policy.

Likewise, if you want to ensure a domain renews automatically each year, it’s important auto-renewal is enabled on the domain.

Changing a domain’s auto-renew setting

  1. Login to your Jolt account at my.jolt.co.uk
  2. Click Domains in the main menu
  3. Click the menu icon next to the domain you wish to manage and click Auto Renewal Status
  1. Toggle Auto Renew as needed

How to know if a domain has auto-renew enabled
