How to Change a Mailbox Password in Plesk

This guide explains how to change the password for a mailbox in Plesk. Whether you have forgotten your current password or simply want to update it, the process takes just a few steps. If you are struggling to access your Plesk control panel, please contact support and we will be happy to help.

We have a guide on how you can access Plesk here: www.jolt.co.uk/kb/help/how-to-login-to-plesk/

Step 1: Log in to Plesk and go to Mail

Log in to your Plesk control panel. From the left-hand menu, click on Mail. This will open the Email Addresses page, which lists all mailboxes associated with your domain.

Step 2: Open the mailbox settings

Click on the email address you want to update — in this example, test@plesk.web39.co.uk. This will open the mailbox settings page.

Step 3: Enter a new password

On the General tab, locate the Password and Confirm password fields. Type your new password in both fields. You can also click Generate to have Plesk create a strong password for you, or click Show to view what you have typed.

Step 4: Save your changes

Once you have entered your new password, click OK to save. You will be returned to the Email Addresses page, where a green confirmation banner will confirm that the settings have been saved successfully.

Your mailbox password has now been updated. You will need to update the password in your email client (such as Outlook or Thunderbird) to continue receiving and sending emails.
